Wellbeing

At Pascoe Vale North Primary School, we nurture the holistic development of every child through our comprehensive Wellbeing Program. Our approach integrates the Zones of Regulation, Digital Citizenship and the principles of Rights, Resilience and Respectful Relationships, empowering students with the knowledge, skills and strategies they need to thrive academically, emotionally and socially.

 

At the heart of our program is The Resilience Project, an initiative designed to foster gratitude, empathy, mindfulness and emotional intelligence. Through engaging classroom lessons, practical strategies and meaningful conversations, students develop the resilience and confidence needed to navigate challenges, build positive relationships and approach learning with a growth mindset.

 

We also follow the School Wide Positive Behaviour Framework (SWPBS), which promotes a consistent, positive and inclusive school culture. Our whole-school behaviour expectations are centred around three key values: Be Safe, Be Responsible and Be a Learner. These expectations guide student behaviour across all learning environments and are explicitly taught and reinforced throughout the school.

 

Students are encouraged to:

  • Be inclusive

  • Keep hands and feet to themselves

  • Listen to others and speak kindly

  • Stay on task

  • Ask for help when needed

 

Additional expectations are tailored to specific areas around the school to ensure students understand how to demonstrate safe, responsible and respectful behaviour in different settings.
